From 6th to 9th of September the Third International Poetry Festival Meridian Czernowitz, which is one of the most famous cultural events of the new wave in Europe took place in Chernivtsi.
For the second year in a row «Wine Time» is the wine partner of the event. So lovers of contemporary poetry had the opportunity to taste wines from «Wine Time» and explore the wine culture of both Ukraine and Europe.
This year's festival was attended by about sixty poets from Ukraine, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Israel, Poland, Romania, the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, and the USA. Among them, there were the most famous modern European poets Arthur Becker (Germany), Daniel Gala Ortsion Bartana (Israel), Karl Lubomirski (Austria-Italy) and Ukrainian ones: Oksana Zabuzhko, Igor Pomerantsev, Borys Khersonskyi, Ivan Malkovych and others.
The festival presented numerous collections of poetry, including a presentation of the new pen creation of Oksana Zabuzhko "From the map of books and people”.
Among the event, in addition to traditional poetry walks and readings, there took place unique performances that combined poetry with other genres of art, bringing their way to a wider audience.
In particular festival program was logically completed by wine and poetic evening Wine Time Poetry Party with Igor Pomerantsev and Olexander Boychenko, which was held in SHC "Tsetsino."
"Our festival is a poetry forum of the new wave, so we have to surprise the audience, to show something that hasn’t been shown anywhere," - said Igor Pomerantsev, the president of the festival.
